How do we as artists design a season or collection with aesthetic unity? Once a theme emerges, how do we make the connections to bring it to life as independent artists?
UNI School of Music professor Dr. Cayla Bellamy presents an informal brown bag lecture-discussion about her season-long exploration of contemporary American bassoon concertos; collaborating with local and national ensembles from K-12 to professional for live concert premieres and recording sessions; and the necessary applications, grant-writing, and logistical considerations to record and release a professional album.
