Are you interested in a career path in music academia? Many times the path through this career field feels like a complete mystery.
I offer one-on-one mentorship and small group coaching for graduate students, early-career academics, and "on the market" musicians seeking collegiate teaching positions. Rates vary based on size of coaching group, frequency of meetings, type of contact, and duration of mentorship relationship. Please reach outwith your needs to create a personalized plan!
My Experience
I have been involved in the hiring process for US public institutions of higher education for nearly a decade. In this time, I have served on over ten hiring committees for music faculty positions, including adjunct, contract term, and tenure-track appointments for applied music, ensemble direction, music core academic, and administrative roles. Personally, I have sought, interviewed, and earned term and tenure track positions at both regional comprehensive state and R1 land grand universities.
Previous coaching clients of mine regularly advance in early application rounds through paperwork and phone or video interview rounds to campus final interviews, and many are now faculty members at public and private colleges across the United States.
